Nothing to Lose is about the human spirit after the most important things in your life are lost. It examines the relationship between the strength of hope and the fragility of loss. I wrote it before 2020 but it didn't make sense to me until I lost my dad at the height of the pandemic. I think everyone this year has lost something - it may be a social life, a future plan, a job, or a routine. We are all collectively grieving under the surface. I hope this song and video provide a bit of strength to keep going in these tough times.

2020 has been particularly difficult for people with chronic illnesses and disabilities; as well as for key workers who kept the world moving. My family and I would like to thank the NHS for their care, kindness, and compassion during the pandemic. They were at the bedsides of our loved ones while they were dying or sick - holding their hands, keeping them comfortable, and doing the emotional work we wish we could've been there for. The final clip you see is the last message I sent to my father.
